Privilege Ibiza is known to be the “worlds largest” nightclub with a capacity to hold 10,000 people. It is located near San Rafael which is towards the middle of Ibiza in between San Antonio and Ibiza Town.
Privilege has a long history and used to be called Ku when in was a restaurant in the 1970’s but it was renamed Privilege and has been host to many different club nights since it’s conversion. The club itself is impressive, once you walk in you will immediately be in awe if the sheer size. The club even has a pool inside and depending on the night, they may use the pool or have it covered with a clear cover so it can still used as a dance floor.
Privilege was host to Manumission which was one of Ibiza’s most famous parties for 15 years until it moved to Amnesia and ultimately off the island. Now Privilege plays host to a variety of parties, we outline below what promoters host their parties daily during the summer season.
Nights/Parties
This year Privilege hosts 4 weekly residencies:
Monday: Tiesto ClubLife
Tiesto hosts Club Life every Monday night and he’s bringing a wide range of special guest DJ’s to Privilege for his Monday night residency. Hardwell, Gregor Salto, Nero, Marcel Woods and Steve Aoki are a few names who will join the Dutch DJ for the massive Tiesto’s Club Life party. Expect a enthusiastic crowd filling the club’s 10,000 capacity, making this the biggest night for Privilege and well worth a go for any fans of Tiesto and his ever growing style of music.
Tuesday: My Club Room 2011
My Clubroom with DJ Sammy is due to take place every Tuesday during the clubbing season in 2011. Expect this night to be full of commercial dance hits which is DJ Sammy’s specialty.
Wednesday: Gatecrasher Ibiza
This is a brand new Wednesday night for Gatecrasher at Privilege. There are some serious resident DJ’s with Paul Oakenfold, Dash Berlin, Marco V and Roger Shah. Expect to get your fill of the best progressive and trance music in Ibiza on a Wednesday night.
Thursday: The Face of Ibiza
The Face of Ibiza is a new party in the hands of Baby Marcelo and DjOliver who after working together in Ibiza and across the World, have decided to promote a new concept with a new team for Ibiza nights. Per the promoters: “The Face Of Ibiza is going to be your face, the face of happiness, the face of joy, the face of the one and magic island.”
As usual, “The Face of Ibiza” will incorporate exciting, sexy and erotic shows while the DJ’s thrown down there special blend of banging beats. The opening Party is Thursday, June 23rd and continues every Thursday through the clubbing season.
Friday: Supermartxe Party
Supermartxe is an unbelievable success story over the past couple of years. It went from being a free party to a 10,000 person roadblock and in the process it became the most talked about night of the summer.
Expect great choreography, high energy and amazing visual effects and of course some top notch Ibiza club tunes to keep you moving on the huge Privilege dancefloor!
Sex, drugs and vice isn’t so much a theme as the norm here. Wicked!
