FestivalZoo has dug through the crates, searched high and low to bring you the Queens of the Jungle! In a growing genre of deep and tech house, there are some female acts that are making waves in the scene. In a time when you are judged by the quality of records, what record label you release on and you’re supporting artist, we find a select group of female dj’s that stand aside from the rest. The chicks behind decks we are about to review are playing with industry leaders at some of the sickest festivals and dance parties around the world. We hope you review the various festivals around the world, as you will see that Europe has been doing dance festivals for some time and attract large audiences for a trip of a lifetime.

It’s summer time and the best of the best travel to Ibiza to hit the best beaches and clubs. Europe is packed with festivals during this time of year so it makes traveling back and forth pretty easy. However, when the winter comes, many of these great artist will flock for warmer weather, so keep an eye out for some of these dj’s as they hit a city near you!

Magda

Magda, born Magdalena Chojnacka is no stranger to the limelight. Her roots stem from Detroit where she made her way through the club circuit and met Minus label boss Richie Hawtin. She now resides in Berlin, the techno capital of the world bringing her acclaimed fame, “The First Lady of Minimal” to Europe. Releasing her first artist album, “From the Fallen Page” and several dj mixes inlcuding the very popular “Fabric 49″, Magda has placed her name amongst the best in the industry. She has traveled the world, gracing dance floors with her techno and minimal grooves. Releasing tracks since 2004 on Minus, Magda carries the skills to help guide her career as a top female act to catch in 2011! This summer she has a unforgiving schedule that will have her visiting festivals in Portugal, Switzerland, Amsterdam, Italy and Berlin while maintaing a club schedule that takes her back and forth to Ibiza, Germany, and London’s best clubs.
